A TWO DAY PORTRAITURE WORKSHOP FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS WHO... Â
Want Their Clients to Look Natural, Confident, and Beautiful. If you already know how to shoot and edit but still feel unsure when it comes to posing real clients, this workshop was created for you.Â
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
September 19 & 20 2026 | Edmonton, AB, Canada
This is a hands on, in person portraiture workshop designed to help photographers refine how they pose, direct, and finish their images, so their work looks more confident, intentional, and professional.
I am excited to be bringing in person workshops back to Edmonton.
This two day portraiture workshop is designed for photographers who already have experience with shooting and editing, but want to feel more confident posing clients, creating natural looking portraits, and refining their images in Photoshop.
This is not a beginner level class. It is a practical learning experience focused on real world portrait sessions and techniques you can use immediately with your own clients.
WHO THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR
photographers who:
- Know how to use their camera and basic lighting
- Feel awkward or inconsistent when directing clients
- Want their portraits to look natural instead of stiff or forced
- Want cleaner, more polished edits without overdoing it
- Are ready to elevate both their confidence and their portfolio
This workshop is not intended for beginners who are still learning camera basics.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Over two in person days, you will learn how to:
- Pose clients in a way that looks natural, flattering, and relaxed
- Give clear direction without sounding stiff or over explaining
- Read body language and make small adjustments that matter
- Create consistent results across different lighting situations
- Develop a repeatable posing process you can rely on
We will work through three portrait styles:
- Natural light outdoor portraits
- Studio portraits using studio light & reflectors
- Ambient light portraits that still look intentional and professional
LEARN TO BUILD A STRONGER, MORE ATTENTION GRABBING PORTFOLIO
You will leave this workshop with images you can confidently add to your portfolio.
These are not generic styled shoot images. You will be photographing real subjects, applying real posing techniques, and creating portraits that reflect how you want to work with actual clients.
By the end of the workshop, you will have:
- Strong, polished portraits that show confident posing
- Images that demonstrate your ability to work in multiple lighting environments
- Portfolio pieces that help potential clients see your skill and professionalism
- Work that supports higher quality bookings, not just more bookings
This workshop is designed to help your portfolio communicate trust, confidence, and capability at a glance.
